Immunosuppressants

• Cellcept is used to lower the immune system in order to prevent the body from rejecting an organ transplant. The immune system attacks anything foreign and its effectiveness needs to be lowered after a transplant surgery. Mostly used for preventing rejection of renal, liver and cardiac transplants, the Cellcept drug is taken with other steroidal drugs.

Liver diseases, premedication before surgery.

Leucine helps with the regulation of blood-sugar levels, the growth and repair of muscle tissue (such as bones, skin and muscles), growth hormone production, wound healing as well as energy regulation. It can assist to prevent the breakdown of muscle proteins that sometimes occur after trauma or severe stress. It may also be beneficial for individuals with phenylketonuria - a condition in which the body cannot metabolize the amino acid phenylalanine.

Imuran belongs to class of medications called immunosuppressant’s and acts by reducing the function of the body's immune system response. By suppressing body’s defence system, Imuran helps to prevent the body from fighting and rejecting the newly transplanted organ. In chronic inflammatory and autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthiritis, the immune system attacks part of own body as if it were foreign. Imuran helps prevent this by interfering with a substance, which is needed for cells to grow and divide.

Remicade is supplied as a sterile, white, lyophilized powder for intravenous infusion. Following reconstitution with 10 mL of Sterile Water for Injection, USP, the resulting pH is approximately 7.2. Each single-use vial contains 100 mg infliximab, 500 mg sucrose, 0.5 mg polysorbate 80, 2.2 mg monobasic sodium phosphate, monohydrate, and 6.1 mg dibasic sodium phosphate, dihydrate. No preservatives are present.

Imuran is an immunosuppressant, which is used to prevent rejection of an organ transplant (e.g kidney transplant). It is also used to treat symptoms of rheumatoid arthiritis. It is also used for certain types of intestinal diseases ( colitis) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Specifiactions:

• Myfortic contains Mycophenolate. Mycophenolic acid mycophenolate is an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent rejection in organ transplantation.

• Renodapt, in combination with other drugs is used to prevent the body from rejecting transplanted organs such as the heart, kidney, or liver.
• Renodapt belongs to a group of medicines called as immunosuppressant. It acts by inhibiting DNA synthesis in immune cells thus preventing the immune system from attacking the new organ or tissue and helps in avoiding organ transplant rejection.

• Myfortic contains Mycophenolate .Mycophenolic acid mycophenolate is an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent rejection in organ transplantation. 

• Renodapt is an immunosuppressant drug used to prevent rejection in organ transplantation.
