MECHANISM OF ACTION

Buclizine is used mainly for its antiemetic action and in the treatment of migraine in combination with analgesics.

Zolmist Inhaler (Zolmitriptan) is a type of drug known as a triptan, which is used to treat nausea, vomiting and light sensitivity occurring as a result of migraines. It works by helping swollen blood vessels in the brain to return to their normal size. This drug will not prevent future migraines from occurring.

Zolmist Inhaler (Zolmitriptan) should be sprayed directly into the nostril. You should use it at the first sign of a migraine. Patients are usually instructed to administer 1 spray into 1 nostril. If you notice no improvement, you should not use any more of this medication. Instead, you should consult your physician. However, if your symptoms are partially relieved or come back, your physician may approve the use of a second dose after 2 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24 hour period. Some patients, especially those with heart complaints, may be required to take the first dose at a physician's office.

Suminat Nasal Spray should be used at the first sign of a migraine headache or as directed by a doctor. The usual dosage is 1 spray applied to 1 nostril. Contact a doctor for the correct dosage as it will depend on the patients condition and their response to the medication. To apply the medication, place the tip of the spray device in one nostril, block the other nostril by pressing firmly on the other nostril and breathe in gently as you press the plunger. Keep the head upright as you remove the tip from your nose and breathe in through the nose and out the mouth for 10 to 20 seconds. If there is no improvement in symptoms, a second dose may be taken at least 2 hours after the initial dose.
