Best Wine Dinner Value in the City
This celebration of fine food and wine is intimate in scale and will be held in the Bistro's beautiful new Private Dining Room and Wine Vault. If, due to popularity, capacity outgrows db's 20-seat Private Dining Room, the dinner will be held next door (same address) in db's sister restaurant Lumière, at no additional charge and with no change in detail or menu. The newly renovated, 40-seat Lumière is British Columbia's only Grand Chef Relais & Chateaux restaurant. Wine dinner guests should arrive to db Bistro at 2551 West Broadway, where the welcome reception will begin promply at 7pm. Monday Night Wine Dinners generally conclude no later than 10pm.
Wine dinners are social but also informative in nature, with tasting notes and commentary provided by our Sommelier and Wine Director Kevin Van Hullebush and a special guest from or representing the winery.
Monday Night Wine Dinners sell out very quickly, so be sure to reserve your space immediately. A credit card reservation is required upon booking. The cost for the wine dinners is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity - making these the best wine dinner value in the city.

Tasting Notes
Truchard Chardonnay 2006: Intense aromas of tropical fruit, lemon zest and fresh pearcombined with fig, vanilla and spice. The mouth is rich - filled with bright flavours of wildflower honey, green apple and nutmeg. Firm acidity.
Truchard Cabernet Sauvignon 2005: Near perfect condition throughout the spring of 2005 resulted in excellend berry set and a very large crop. Mild summer temperatures gradually ripened the fruit, allowing for extremely long 'hang time'. The 2005 vintage produced elegant wines with intense aromas of ripe plum, black cherry and cassis; highlighted with cedar and vanilla. The mouth is layered with bright, jammy flavours of raspberry, cherry and red currant. Fine-grained tannins fill the palate and provide beautiful structure and a lingering finish of spice and red fruit.
Truchard Rousanne 2006: Rich aromas of green apple, honeydew melon and lychee fruit; highlighted with pineapple and vanilla. The mouth has subtle flavours of nectarine, peach and fresh pear. Bright acidity provides a crisp finish of citrus, mineral and spice.

Truchard Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery in the Carneros region of the Napa Valley. Proprietors Tony and Jo Ann Truchard have managed a successful vineyard, growing exceptional grapes for over 30 years. Through their hard work and devotion to this unique property, they have helped pioneer wine grape growing in the Carneros.
