First Monday Night Wine Dinner of 2010 - January 18
Monday Night Wine Dinners at db have taken on a life of their own -- very quickly outgrowing our 20-seat Private Dining Room and most often moving next door to our sister restaurant Lumière - a beautiful 45-seat Relais & Chateaux jewelbox.
Every other Monday night through the season, Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush and Chef de Cuisine Stephane Istel present a magnificent culinary event to a small group of guests, pairing the fine wines of a favourite vineyard with Chef Istel's inspired cuisine.
Featured wineries are both new world and old world, established and nouveau, and a selection of gorgeous vintage and non-vintage wines are offered to complement the five-course dinner. And always, a special guest winemaker or winery representative joins in the conversation.
The name of the special featured winery for this first Monday Night Wine Dinner of the new year will be announced in the coming weeks. If you wish to be notified by email of the details, please subscribe to 'Wine Events' (right).

The Best Wine Dinner Value in the City
These celebrations of fine food and wine are intimate in scale and held in the Bistro's beautiful new Private Dining Room and Wine Vault. If, due to popularity, capacity outgrows db's 20-seat Private Dining Room, the dinner will be held next door (same address) in db's sister restaurant Lumiere, at no additional charge and with no change in detail or menu. The newly renovated, 40-seat Lumiere is British Columbia's only Grand Chef Relais & Chateaux restaurant. Wine dinner guests should arrive to db Bistro at 2551 West Broadway, where the welcome reception will begin promply at 7pm. Monday Night Wine Dinners generally conclude no later than 10pm.
Monday Night Wine Dinners sell out very quickly, so be sure to reserve your space immediately. A credit card reservation is required upon booking. If you are booking online, be sure to reference Wine Dinner before submitting. The cost for the wine dinners is $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity - making these the best wine dinner value in the city.
Please inquire directly with Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush or Maitre d' Ali Maher, or call either at 604.739.7115.
