Only one man will camp out for Titans tickets

Somebody needs to join the 21st century.

It used to be a proud and fun tradition among Tennessee Titans fans. People would line up outside the stadium and camp out, waiting for the chance to buy single-game tickets as soon as they went on sale. However, the growth of the Internet slowed the tradition to a crawl.

Now, there’s only one man left. The last Mohican, so to speak.

WKRN, Nashville News, Nashville Weather and Sports

A friendly reporter from WKRN-TV in Nashville approached the man — who she interviewed the year before — and woke him up from a summer’s nap. As you’ll see, nobody else is with him. The reporter dutifully asks him why he won’t just buy the tickets online and he responds “I don’t have a credit card.”

Well, there is his first and pretty much only problem. Dude, you gotta get one of those. I know, the temptation to go nuts and land in debt is always there, but here’s what I suggest. Keep the card locked up and only use it on the one day a year you buy Titans tickets. Then, spend the rest of calendar paying it off, even though it really shouldn’t take long at all.

But to this man’s credit, he’s not gonna budge from his beliefs.

“I’ll do this when I’m in my 60s,” he said.

Bravo, sir.
