Forrest Griffin: "Lil Nog is a horrible fight for me"

"That is a horrible fight for me. I have trained with his brother a little bit, so he already has the 'inside scoop' on me, he's a southpaw, has got a good chin, and has good power. Plus he is pretty solid on the ground. The only place I would have an advantage would be wrestling... and my wrestling is not that good. So yeah, that’s a tough match up for me. I'd do it, if that’s what they wanted, but being straight up, there are other guys I'd rather fight."

what is up w/Forrest use to was happy to fight anyone...
is right though Lil Nog is a great fighter not sure if you guys watched best of Pride on Spike but he fought Shogun and it was an insane fight....but to come out and flat out say I dont think I can win is not what fans want to hear Ive been a fan of Forrest but sounds like he is close to giving up on fighting for awhile, burnt out or something....

Maybe the writing is on the wall...how many top level opponents can he lose to before they drop him?

i think the ufc knows forrest is on the decline. his fights show it.they are trying to feed him to an up n comer so he'll either take a long vacation or leave. forrest just isnt the asset he used to be.

he doesn't want to get humiliated again. pack it up or learn some new skills.

I disagree with what other people are saying. I appreciate his honesty and candor. Plus if he sets expectations low, by winning, or even putting on a good show in losing, he'll exceed what everyone's expecting and it will actually make him look better. He needs that after the Anderson fight.
