Andrei Arlovski talks his loss to Brett Rogers

The loss bothers me, it hurts me. I have to do something about this. (Brett Rogers) had a good record, but I thought he was not the top like Fedor or Barnett. It was my mistake and when you make a mistake you have to pay for it. I took Rogers seriously, but I didn’t think the fight would have been this situation. I focused too much on boxing and not enough on the wrestling and jiu-jitsu. It wasn’t right. It’s another thing I have to think about. MMA is not boxing. I have to change something. I don’t understand this question about my chin. When you open your face for four or five punches it doesn’t matter your chin, you will get KOed. Rogers was great, he did what he did. I took the fight and I got my ass kicked, it’s that simple. It’s embarrassing, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I have to move on. I’m definitely going to come back.

arlovski is still of championship caliber. s**t happens, warriors get knocked out, its all a part of this business. this does not change the fact that he is still a warrior. it is so easy to criticize from a mile away. shut your mouth and step in the ring, try walking a mile in his shoes. your's isn't creative criticism, ITS BULLs**t.

His career is not over and his last two fights were to great fighters. Fedor is and forever will be unbeatable so that was not a surprise that he lost there. Rogers has amazingly heavy hands and looks like some decent accuracy. No one can take hits like that and not fold. Arlovski is a warrior and I hope to see him in the ring for years to come.

Step into the ring...
written by scomar, June 12, 2009
I love when people end remarks with, "step in the ring". Obviously I am not going to challenge Andre to a fight, play one on one with Kobe, or put pads on and try to tackle Reggie Bush. They all get paid very well to entertain and win fights/ games respectively. Bottom line, Andre has been slipping fast! I have the right as someone who has helped pay his salary for years to say that! Reality check...I'll stick to having my own career that does not include eating punches! The result no supermodel girlfriend or Bently, but somehow I will survive!
