TATTOOS: Update at Urban Image Tattoo, Bournemouth

My left arm sleeve is starting to progress quite well now. So I thought I would update you on how it is going.
This arm is being created by the lovely Saranna Blair at Urban Image Tattoo in Bournemouth.

This was last session:

Apologies - not my best photo.

Saranna is a newly established tattoo artist, having finished her apprenticeship last year, so she is now building up her portfolio and charging a discounted rate. I love her style, lots of bright colours, thick linework, neo-traditional style.

I first discovered her back before she started tattooing, and she was selling art prints online and I bought the owl of the far right.

FASHION: Tattoo Inspired Clothing: Sacred Stitches

During my usual tattoo/artist trawl, I discovered a little gem of an online shop called Sacred Stitches - and I just had to share with you.

Based in Brighton, this little internet boutique is just jammed back with tattoo artistry inspired clothing and accessories.

Plus the mad two that run the business do almost everything themselves -
  • They print all the t-shirts and cushions
  • Sew all their cushions
  • Post all orders
  • Design and run their website
  • And model for the photos, which they take themselves
  • Amongst a load of other bits and bobs too!
Now that's dedication!
So here's a few of my favourite pieces!

TATTOOS: Review - Things and Ink Magazine

Ok, so I'm a little late to the party, but now I've joined I'm in love - with Things and Ink Magazine.

This magazine is the perfect coffee table, stylish read that any tattoo lover would be proud to be seen with.

Celebrating their first anniversary (I told you I was late to the party), the team at Things and Ink pulled out all the stops with a gorgeous magazine including a cover featuring two of the UK's best female tattoo artists (well in my opinion anyway), Tiny Miss Becca and Amy Victoria Savage. Without revealing too much, these two girls had some fun with confetti and cake for their fab interview piece.
