Last weekend I took a little trip out to Brighton with some of the Southampton Bloggers for the Brighton Blog Meet Up organised by Laura of Lola and Behold.
We travelled over by train and spent the morning exploring (I discovered a new love for Sass and Belle, thank you Alice) and grabbing food before heading over to The Globe to meet some more South Coast bloggers.
The event itself was a cute mix of bloggers with a couple of brands attending including purepotions, Homage and Snact. There was a fun ice-breaking activity to get to know people in the room, plus a raffle with some amazing prizes.
The brands themselves were all really great and independent which I totally love.
Homage is a Brighton-based home brand with ceramics, concrete vases and candle holders, handmade soaps and the most amazing marble effect notebooks and monochrome shopper bags (this one was my fave - who doesn't love stripes right?) I've ever seen. Think a mix of Next and Homesense, but from a small independent company.
Next was purepotions who specialise in skincare, which are targetted at problem areas such as Dry Skin or Scarring. Their collections are made, packaged and distributed from Brighton and are really skin friendly being paraben and harmful ingredient free, plus they are not tested on animals.
For me, the highlight of the collection was their baby range including their Lavender Nappy Salve and Chamomile Baby Oil. I'll be posting a lot more about both in the future with a whole post dedicated to the brand as I really think they need shouting about. Plus I'll be reviewing the Baby care range once Baby Bee is here.
Lastly was Snact who make a fruity jerky treat from surplus fruit for a healthy snack. These pretty much taste like adult fruit winders. They come in two flavours Apple and Raspberry and Apple and Mango. They're also gluten-free and vegan.
The raffle in aid of Grassroots Suicide Prevention charity included a mix of prizes from attending brands as well as BeeGood, Kate Spade, Este Choc and many more.
And last but by no means least, the goodie bags. These bags were literally crammed full with amazing products from so many brands, plus we got a second bag specifically from Homage too.
Brands included:
Funkin Cocktails
Fit Protein Shakes
Life Tonics drinks
Metcalfes Popcorn
Bio-Oil
Anatomicals
EstheChoc
BeeGood
MooGoo
Body Fantasies
and many more!
