LIFESTYLE: A very special announcement



Today's post is a super special one. And one I've wanted and been so excited to post for a while.
WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!

Or course that was blindly obvious from the photo but I love seeing the words, saying them out loud!
We've wanted this for such a long time. We started trying shortly after getting married, but lost the baby at 9 weeks. We then put off trying again for a while and then decided to let nature run it's course.

We've never been more excited for something to come into our lives. And seeing this image on screen last week was the cherry on top. I mean I can't describe that feeling. There just aren't words. The overwhelming sense of happiness and love is just insane. I honestly couldn't stop smiling through the whole scan. Even if I was completely bursting for the loo! Those first words of 'baby is looking great' literally made my heart leap!

So this is Baby Bee, or Baby Teacup at 13 weeks + 3 days on the 17th December 2015 - one of the best moments of my life so far. 

I can't wait for this next step on our journey. It's scary and exciting all at once but I'm so up for the challenge.

  7. Oh wow! Such incredible news :) I can't believe you already had an ultrasound! I have to wait until im 20 weeks to get my first one! Congrats x

    1. Oh my gosh. I couldn't have coped! It's standard in the UK between 12-14 weeks and then again at 20 weeks. But you've heard babies heartbeat.. I haven't had that pleasure!!

  12. Congrats! I lost my first baby at around eight weeks and am now mummy to a gorgeous seven month old baby boy, so I know how anxious and overwhelming it can be. So glad you've got a happy ending :)

    1. Thank you. It's been really hard actually and I'm still not 100% out of the 'if' stage but I'm getting there. Just happy things seem to be progressing normally. And I'm very happy for you too. Xxx
